Saga of Sparklebunny
Once upon a time, right before Easter 2002, in a Yahoogroup called "WitchWars" ...a foul mouthed Troll going by the name "Sucking Bucking System" began harassing members of WitchWars. Sucking Bucking System joined the fray when folks started asking WARD silly little questions like "Where does the dues money paid to WARD go?" and "Why doesn't WARD have elected Directors?" About a week or so later, Darla Kaye Whynne, one of the self appointed Assistant Officers of Egotude in the group called "WARD" was discovered to be posting from the very same IP address as "Sucking Bucking System" When confronted with this info, Darla invoked Standard Lame Excuse #17 .. the "Mysterious Dude Defense" You can read the original emails presenting the "Mysterious Dude Defense" HERE Basically, Darla claimed that an ex con she let stay in her home posted from her account, without her knowledge or consent ....and then she responded to him, within two minutes, from the same account and IP. Of course the Mysterious Dude disappeared before anyone could confirm his existence.... and Darla wasn't willing to give up his name, or any info about him. Ahhh yeah ...sure ...right ... Needless to say, some folks did not buy this fairy tale .....and when these people voiced their disbelief, Darla threatened to bludgeon her critics with a blunt lawyer. WARD is now closed. (except for the PPM division) Darla and I can't no longer carry the responsibility for this organization by ourselves. We can no longer fight the establishment for our rights and also the pagan community. We are tired. This was not done on a spur of the minute this has been thought about for months now and we put it off and put if off, well now we can no longer do this. There is nothing that will change our minds. The website will be down by Friday September 19th the yahoo groups will be closed also on Friday. Darla and I will retain all the rights, artwork etc to WARD. We have made great friends through WARD. Its hard to say goodbye to WARD but we need to put our lives first not everyone else's. We want to work on our Tradition which we have put on the back burner for 10 years. WARD's name, artwork etc is Darla's and mine we will retain all the rights etc. 2. I'm not giving WARD to anyone. Darla and myself worked very hard for it and we are keeping it. We are hoping AREN will take over our directors and any outstanding cases. We will keep you posted. 3. If Thora and her group think they can do a better job then WARD then go ahead but don't use WARD's name. I wish them all the best. BB Christine |
